chllea asked: working in the uk already in racing. Fancy a change of scenery. Also want to travel so thought i could combine the two..are jobs easy to find?. Is it best to sort it out from the uk or get to oz and look over there? What about age restrictions with work? Visas etc?
Grand National Tips
I know there its a vacancy for a cocrodilo charmer in Oz..
The horse racing in Oz its big as well in New zealand.
Its easier if you log or make enquieres at the Oz embassy there.
they will be glad to help you.
with you credentials it be just an easy thing to come to Oz.
you’ll be rite mate.
Ring a race track near you, and apply for a position as junior groom. Or Just ring any horse stables in the phone book, or get on the net and punch in racing tracks! be prepared to work for nothing, get up at ungodly hours and be treated as a punching bag by the race horses and the other employee’s. All race horses are pure breds this means they are very highly strung. In other words nuts. Like Paris Hilton for instance, only she’s human!
Hello!
Combining work and travel is best done on a working-holiday visa, provided you’re between the ages of 18 and 30 at the time you submit your application.
To be eligible for an Australian Working Holiday Visa, the application must be made overseas and applicants must:
-Be aged between 18 and 30 years (inclusive) of age without dependent children;
-Be eligible passport holders with at least 1 year until renewal on their passport;
-Be going to Australia on holidays; and
-Be able to show sufficient funds for a return or onward fare and an adequate amount of funds for the first part of their stay.
