Stick a saddle on your back and go in the buff.

posh hats at the races are for special days like the derby or royal ascot. just go smart casual, everyone else will be. or if you are going to the owners enclosure, try smart.

Something you don’t mind having a pint being spilled on.

If you’re from the US, then you should know what a pimp looks like. That’s how you should dress up if you’re female. Like a cheap american pimp working the street. However, if you’re male, then you should just wear a suit.

Well, here we don’t get all dressed up for the races(Vancouver , Canada) mind you we do get the odd one that does, and usually they have tons of cash to fling around. Mostly we just were what ever we want.

It depends on which enclosure you are in. If you are in the Members Enclosure you need to dress smartly - no jeans, no trainers, no shorts. Men are encouraged to wear suits with a shirt and tie and ladies to wear either a dress, skirt or trouser suit. It is entirely up to you if you want to wear a hat - some people like to get dressed up for the races.

At certain meetings, ie Royal Ascot and Derby Day it is compulsory for ladies to wear hats (or at least cover the crown of their head) when in the Royal Enclosure/Queen’s Stand.

It is best to check the individual courses’ website for further information.
