I am looking for my second horse to learn parelli with. I want to be a parelli instructor, and I need a horse that already knows the basics to help me learn. I also want the horse to be an allround fun type, that i can jump and hack on too. It needs to be around 16hh, and in my area of england. Around the age of 6 would be perfect.

Look what I found.

I’ve fallen in love with him already!! ONE PROBLEM. £4500 is quite a bit over my price range. I was hoping to find something for no more than £3000. Thing is, i’m 16 and my parents would be paying, and they are worried about paying this much. :( But surely its better to spend a bit more on the right one than buying the wrong one beacause its cheaper.
Also, he’s an ex race horse, would this cause him future health problems? He’s only 6, so he can’t have raced for long.

He looks like he would be a very good horse to have. See if the owner is willing to come down in price. A lot of times people ask for more than they will actually take. Good Luck!

He’s a nice horse…

But you can find ones just as good that are cheaper if you keep looking…

Just because he is a OTT doesn’t mean he’ll have health problems… Good vet checks will rule that out.

ex racehorses don’t have health problems, just attitude problems, actually im suprised this horse ever raced, he is so calm. He looks very fit and willing so i dont see any reason not to buy him. Look around for some cheaper horses first but if you dont fall in love with any others have him on trial for a while. I bought a 2,000 skewbald cob who didnt know anything, im now training him and using a bit of parelli, he is great and i still cant beleve it when i go to catch him and see him galloping over to me. Go for it!! have fun!! Good luck!!
