john T asked:

i am a horse racing gambler in Mauritius and races are very often fixed among rich punters, stable owners and jockeys. It seems that people from UK, South Africa and Australia get information about which horse will win and poor Mauritians continue to loose money every week. I am looking for reliable tips from anyone from abroad.

The Owners and Trainers are the crooks. Just watch the tote board and wait until about 1 min to bet. Also, buy a daily racing form..See what the odds go off and who the jockey is. Unforunately, the Horse has nothing to do with winning..

If you’re serious about horse race betting, I suggest you read the following for tips:

There is pre-race fixing in horse racing all over the world.

In the UK it does happen though only the ‘insiders’ close to the stables/jockeys etc get the information. It is kept close to their chests to ensure massive amounts of money doesn’t affect the odds of the selection going down. Unfortunately it is not only horse racing we have seen this in either but other sports also, football and cricket to name a couple.

Fortunately though for us average punters there are good systems and tipsters about (and also many bad ones so beware!). My site for example has proven profitable however it is not based on inside knowledge or fixed races.

I’d consider a switch to North American racing. Sure, some races at a few junker tracks are fixed like a housecat, but it’s not outright shenanigans wherever you turn either.
