As we all know, the Grand National has just been held at Aintree, and as we also know, Aintree is in Liverpool. One feels Horse Racing is a sport of the middle and upper classes, the working class and lowers classes have no place here, especially at a meeting of this magnitude. I think we can all agree that Liverpool is the worse city in the UK for scum.

It saddens me seeing the women in the papers wearing atrocious frocks - no class them Liverpool ladies. They embarrass themselves and embarrass the sport. One feels it can’t be good for the horses having toothless teenage mums screaming at them either

I am from Taiwan and I like his style and his fighting spirit on the court. However, if he plays a Taiwanese player, I will support my country man. Unfortunately, that opportunity is rare and since I live in the UK for 13 years, I support Murray like I support him like he is from my country.

Now, I work in an office with 200 people in Newcastle, UK and some of them play Tennis. I am surprised that I can hardly find any body to share how much I am happy about him doing well in grand slam. Nobody seems care what he is achieving at this moment.

I am not asking people from other country support the Scottish but I am pretty annoyed when people from the UK does not care about his achievement enough. He would be a national hero in my country.

I’ve come across a great site for newspaper horse racing naps. The site is http://www.dailynaps.co.uk and it lists all of the UK newspaper tipsters in racecard order. Very useful. Does anyone know how I would find out which one is the most successful in terms of strike rate?

What is the best kind of race to target. Ive got a basic handicapping strategy but don’t know whether i should target class three races or certain length of race. When i look at the listings i just cant make my mind up. I need a way to shorten the possibility’s. I already avoid maiden stakes and juvenile or nursery races. Has anyone had more success in a particular type of race.
Yeah, a lot of sensible advice there. Thanks for taking the effort. Im new to handicapping so i have a lot to learn but i’ll get there in the end. About four or five years from now lol.

Naji D asked:

We all know or should know the seven wonders of the ancient world. But here’s my thing. I somewhat disagree with them to an extent.
All are gone except the pyramids but to me the pyramids we’re the only ones that truly were wonderful since they’re still here.
There are other ancient wonders that I believe should be considered that match up with the Giza Pyramids much better.

1. Why are they all centered in the Mediterranean?

2. Why are scientists finding structures older and larger than the seven wonders but didn’t consider them great wonders?

3. What do you think should replace the other 6 wonders since they’re all destroyed?

4. What do you think are seven wonders of the modern world? Natural and man made?(I don’t necessarily agree with the official list)

5. What do you think are seven wonders of modern North America? Natural and man made?

Please answer all of these as best as you can and be honest and as precise as possible.

Here’s my list of Ancient wonders that I think should replace the destroyed one on the list.
Seven unknown wonders of the ancient world :

1. Ancient City, Great Zimbabwe http://www.britannica.com/EBchecked/topic/243929/Great-Zimbabwe

2. The Colossi of Memnon http://www.akhet.co.uk/memnon.htm

3. Easter Island http://www.netaxs.com/~trance/rapanui.html

4. Poverty Point(sacred bird mound of Louisiana) http://www.lpb.org/programs/povertypoint/pp_transcript.html

5. Stone Henge http://www.sacred-destinations.com/england/stonehenge

6. Chichen Itza http://www.haciendachichen.com/ruins.htm

7. Bagan Temples of Myanmar http://www.orientalarchitecture.com/myanmar/bagan/index.php

Why these aren’t considered great wonders I’m not sure. Many are just as old if not older and greater than the other six wonders of the world and they are all still standing.

7 Wonders of the Modern World. 2,000 years or earlier (Man made)

1. Twin towers of Malaysia
2. Tahj Mahal in India
3. Channel Tunnel of France
4. Hoover Dam of the U.S.
5. Great Wall of China
6. Eiffel Tower of France
7. Timbuktu of Mali

7 Natural Wonders of Modern world

1. Niagara Falls, U.S./Canada border
2. Ayers Rock(Uluru), Australia
3. Mt. Everest, Nepal/Tibet
4. Victoria Falls, Zambia/Zimbabwe border
5. Rain Forest of Brazil
6. Great Barrier Reef of Australia
7. The Alps that span much of Europe

7 Wonders of the Continental U.S. 2,000 years or earlier (Man made)

1. Sears Tower, Chicago, IL
2. Manhattan Henge, New York, NY
3. Hoover Dam, Nevada/Arizona
4. Golden Gate Bridge, San Fransisco, CA
5. Gateway Arch, St. Louis, MS
6. Statue of Liberty, New York, NY
7. Mt. Rushmore, Black Hills, SD
8. (Extra) Disney World, Orlando, FL

7 Natural Wonders of the Continental U.S.

1. Stone Mt., Georgia
2. Mammoth Cave, Kentucky
3. Great Lakes, U.S./Canada
4. Mississippi River, Mississippi
5. Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming
6. The Sequoia forest, Central California
7. The Grand Canyon, Arizona

A. Again answer the questions and best as you can and as honestly as you can.
B. Let me know if I made a mistake or something in any of the lists.
C. If you want to go ahead and make your own lists. Please do. I’m curious as to peoples responses. These are just my opinions. :-)

Just another Yahoo Member asked:

I am a British Pakistani, and with other British Pakistani guys I went over to the states 2 months or so ago.

We went to LA, Vegas, Yosemite National Park, Grand Canyon National Park, Salt Lake City, Yellowstone National Park, travelled about 2000 miles in total. Everywhere we went Americans were so friendly! Every club or restaurant or bar, people were so kind hearted to us it really left a profound impression on us.

People may say “well you only went to the “liberal” areas”. Not the case, we went right into the heart of Montana, and watched rodeos, people were the same.

If we got lost at any time, some people were willing to give us their maps with detailed directions, this sort of stuff would never happen in the UK.

We didn’t encounter racism anywhere and people always went out of their way to be as friendly as possible.

Since then I have been left wondering, why do Americans have such a bad reputation?

Munkey Harris asked:

My fiancee and I are planning a two-week California flydrive next August for our honeymoon. The locations we would like to see are Los Angeles, San Francisco, some or all of the Highway Pacific coast road, and then a hop across the state border to Nevada to see the bright lights of Vegas.

My question is: what’s the best route? We will be flying in from the UK and are happy to land in either LA or SF. Then we collect the car and go from there.

Do we land in LA, spend a few days there, take a drive up the coast road to SF, spend a few days there and then drive to Vegas via Yosemite National Park? Or do we start the trip in SF, drive down to LA and then on to Vegas?

Two final points: my fiancee likes beaches so it would be nice to spend a couple of days on one of California’s finest! Also, the Grand Canyon is obviously a must-see so I plan to treat my fiancee to a helicopter ride from Vegas. Therefore it’s not important for us to drive to the Grand Canyon.

Many thanks…
