I am attending a horse racing meeting in the near future (as an official photographer) and have a canon slr. I am going to be hiring a lens from www.lensesforhire.co.uk.

Which lens would be best? Obviously a telephoto, preferbly an ‘L’ lens - but which one?!! There is a 28-300mm, 100-400mm, then fixed focal lengths? Please advise.
